More specifics on focal and filler flowers and greenery
The following flowers may be requested with your order or selected for substitution or addition from the Flower Bar during pickup:
Focal flowers include zinnias in a wide range of colors, sunflowers in gold, deep brown, and burgundy hues, and cheerful marigolds in shades of gold and yellow.
Filler flowers include cosmos in whites, pinks, and burgundies, along with celosia in both bold and muted tones. Textural fillers such as spiked and trailing amaranth and a variety of ornamental grasses that add movement and interest.
Greenery is available to create a structured base for your arrangements and may include herbs such as African basil, rosemary, and mint, as well as scented geranium and eucalyptus.
We’re happy to take specific requests, but availability will vary week to week based on what’s blooming in our fields.
Dahlia bucket size and price
We grow over 60 varieties of dahlias in a wide range of colors, forms, and sizes. If you have a color in mind, we likely grow it—though white dahlias are limited.
Each dahlia bucket includes 6 bunches of 5 stems (30 stems total). Stems are $3 each, making each bucket $90. Five-stem bunches may be substituted or added using selections from the Flower Bar during pickup.
Large dinner-plate dahlias are also available at $5 per stem and make a standout addition to arrangements and bouquets.
Focal and filler flower and greenery bucket size and price
One bucket of focal and filler flowers includes 6 bunches of 10 stems (60 stems total). Stems are $1.50 each, for a total of $90 per focal and filler flower bucket. Like the dahlia buckets, 10-stem bunches may be substituted or added using selections from the Flower Bar during pickup.
Focal flowers may include zinnias and sunflowers, with filler blooms such as amaranth, cosmos, ornamental grasses, and seasonal greenery, including herbs and foliage.

Do It yourself FLOwers - Fall 2026 - What We Offer
Purchasing DIY flowers is a great way to make your event both affordable and personal.
DIY flower buckets are available for on-farm pickup throughout the week, with most pickups on Fridays and Saturdays.
Choose your event date and sign up for a pickup time.
Share your color preferences and number of blooms requested, and I’ll select flowers that best fit your vision.
Send in a 20% deposit, at least four weeks before your scheduled farm pickup.
When you arrive at the farm, I will have your order ready based on your color preferences and number of blooms need.
You’ll have one hour to pick up your order. Not quite the right color or need a little more than planned? During your pickup, you can substitute or add blooms from the wide selection available on our flower bar that day.
Flower bar availability varies, but we aim to offer a wide, seasonal selection.
Expect the bulk of your buckets to feature dahlias, along with focal and filler flowers and greenery that are in season during the fall months.

DIY flower buckets make it easy to create beautiful arrangements for your event at a more affordable price, all while using local, seasonal flowers and supporting a small-scale flower farm.
Because we offer bulk flowers at a reduced cost, we’re not able to provide full design services or guarantee 100% choice in specific blooms. That said, we gather as much information as possible through our sign-up form to match your vision and color scheme as closely as we can.

How much should you order?
How much you order depends on your overall vision for your event. A helpful place to start is deciding how many arrangements you want, which will guide how many flowers you’ll need.
Since dahlias make up the bulk of most orders, I use them as the main reference point when estimating quantities. I also use a regular mouth quart mason jar (2⅜ inch opening) as a visual guide for arranging.
If using only dahlias:
Five dahlia stems will nicely fill one regular mouth quart mason jar.
One dahlia bucket will make six full mason jar arrangements.
If using dahlias with fillers, focal flowers, and greenery:
With one dahlia bucket and one filler bucket, plan for a 1 dahlia : 2 filler stem ratio.
This works out to about 3 dahlias and 6 filler stems per regular-mouth mason jar.
One dahlia bucket plus one filler bucket will make approximately 10 mason jar arrangements.
If using bud vases:
Estimate 1 dahlia stem per vase and 2–3 filler stems per vase.
And remember, you can always modify or add to your order from the Flower Bar during pickup.
What we need from you
Clear communication -Please use our Sign Up Form to share your color preferences and select your pickup time. Communication outside of your confirmation email is limited to one phone call and a few text messages. We’re not able to offer extra email communication outside of your initial confirmation.
Realistic expectations - We offer seasonal flowers grown right here on our farm, chosen for what grows best in our region at that time of year. Be sure to review what’s available to make sure it fits your vision.
On-time pickup - We schedule a lot of pickups, so please plan to arrive during your selected pickup window. If you miss your time, we’ll fit you into the next available spot.
Friendly interactions - We’ve worked hard to make our farm a peaceful place for us, our crew, and our animals. We’re happy to welcome you into our space to enjoy its beauty, and we ask that you treat everyone and everything here with kindness and respect.
